In Harm's Way : Donating to the Tsunami and Earthquake Education and Preparation Fund

Goals:

To educate those in harms way of natural hazards how to reduce the disaster potential of the hazards in their community
Assemble and train teams of students and experts who can effectively consult with local leaders in these vulnerable communities
Train local experts in these communities under the direction of local leaders
Support workshops and mitigation activities taught and directed by local experts
Support the college education of local experts and others from these communities who focus on disaster mitigation
Help local leaders and experts develop a disaster mitigation and emergency plan for their community
Provide funds and resources necessary for simple community-based disaster mitigation activities that involve the young
